Membership Levels
We have the following levels of individual membership to match your role, knowledge and experience.
Student
£50 +VAT per year
IPM Student Member status is available to undergradate and postgraduate students who intend to pursue a career in the field of place management, or are studying within a discipline whereby an understanding of place is a core element. This might include geography, planning, architecture, retail planning, sociology, landscape design or economics.
Associate (AIPM)
£80 +VAT per year
IPM Associate Member status is available to those starting their career in any area of place management, either through enrolling on one of the IPM’s accredited courses or through evidence of less than three years practical experience in the field.
Member (MIPM)
£110 +VAT per year
IPM Member status is available to experienced place management professionals, that hold a first degree (or equivalent qualification) and can demonstrate at least 3 years practical experience in the field.
Very experienced practitioners with 5 or more years of experience who do not hold a first degree (or equivalent) can apply for Full Member Status through a professional competence route by demonstrating that they have graduate-level professional competencies in a number of areas.
Fellow (FIPM)
£140 +VAT per year
IPM Fellow status is available to those that have reached a very high level of personal and professional achievement, within the industry. It is only open to those that meet all the following criteria:
